A350 Delta One suite
The Delta One suite is the first all-door business class cabin, sparking a revolution in this premium cabin class, and a Crystal Cabin Award winner.

Continuing their determination to lead the market in luxury and following the introduction of direct-aisle access business class seats in 2008, Delta had, and still have, a determined policy to optimise privacy at every possible opportunity. So after direct-aisle access, and a full lie-flat bed, with other innovations in catering, amenities and the branded experience, what was the next big step change. The answer: doors.
We designed the Delta One Suite, a highly customised version of the already successful Thompson Aer Vantage XL seat, which included the pioneering development of a door on every business class suite in the cabin An industry first, which debuted on their A350 and subsequently featured on the B777, and with some changes, on the B767 and A330.
Delta wanted to create a best-in-class offering that no-one else was flying, giving passengers a private space to relax, dine or sleep, and giving them more control over their on-board environment and experience.
The Delta One Suite started a revolution in the business class seat market, with doors appearing on seats around the world.
As Delta state in their successful Crystal Cabin Award entry :
Designed with an emphasis on exceptional customer comfort and privacy, the Delta One suite offers each customer a private space, accessed by a sliding door, with thoughtfully designed personal stowage areas, an advanced in-flight entertainment system and premium materials, trim and finishes. The result is an unparalleled Business Class experience with a comfortable, residential feel.
