Vacuum beard shaver and stubble groomer
Factorydesign worked for 8 years with Remington providing detailed design solutions for over one hundred products, from concept sketches to pre-production data.
Factorydesign was tasked with designing the next generation vacuum beard shaver and trimmer for Remington’s male grooming range in 2016. We designed and developed several sketch concepts before developing a chosen design into 3D CAD. Model making was a common feature of the development to fully understand not only aesthetic decisions but importantly to validate ergonomics of both the ‘feel in the hand’ and control positions.
We had to take into consideration developing a design solution that would accommodate the technology and the internal components, resulting in a refined design that both stood on its own merits and equally fitted in with a carefully managed brand language.
