Iberia
Business class for Iberia on the inaugural A321 XLR
The vision behind Iberia’s A321XLR is to enable the airline to use a single-aisle aircraft for long-haul flights, and maintain the same premium service enjoyed by passengers on their wide-body aircraft, making VantageSOLO the perfect seat.

A decade ago, In 2014, we began looking at premium travel on the anticipated long-range narrow body aircraft. Direct aisle access plus a lie-flat bed was, and remains, the minimum expectation in business class, and Vantage SOLO was created. Thompson Aero shared that vision and the result is a highly successful, market leading seat product in this category.
Factorydesign and Thompson have a long a successful history of working together to bring about a vision that promotes wellbeing in conjunction with a feeling of luxury. Iberia chose this pairing for the business-class interior of its A321 XLR. Soft, natural elements have been carefully selected for the trim and finish, with warm, woven materials give a welcoming feel, and wood-effects continue the theme. There is the occasional pop of colour from Iberia’s red and yellow brand accents. Comfort and function are offered by wide leather headrests and thoughtfully designed compartments, creating an elegant and efficient cabin.
